Preschool Layout - Boy

Hello everyone!  I'm here to show you a layout I created of my son in PreK-4 last year.  In creating the layout, I had some of his preschool memorabilia that I wanted to include on the layout, including his "symbol" that he had for the past 2 years in that class and his name tag from his desk.  As I was putting together the layout, it needed something and my friend Elizabeth had just the thing, the most adorable school brads (just the cutest little things I've ever seen).  So I used it as the way to write my journaling and I added a ripped from the notebook feel by punching along the edge.  Finally, I popped the picture of him in the cute cowboy had holding a bunny.  Here's the finished product...

Here's a close up of the super cute brads journaling block...

Aren't they the cutest!
Well, my good friend gave me another set to be able to use on my daughter's page (thanks Elizabeth, you're so sweet!) and tomorrow you can check out the way I used them on her page.  So be sure to stop by again, then!  Have a great start to your week everyone!
Thanks for stopping by!

Disney Layouts - Part 2 - Buzz Lightyear Layout

Hello everyone!  Today I want to share my favorite layout from the Disney Album.  When I first started the layout, I didn't know where I was heading with it, I just had two of the same paper and I knew I wanted to pop the Woody and Buzz, but didn't know what else I was going to do with it.  I used the green Bo Bunny Dot paper to break it up in the middle and cover the part where I cut out the characters (which I popped on the other side) and put my action shots there in the middle.  I also had a great picture of Buzz on the left that I wanted to use.  I created my title using Mickey Font (if you don't have this cartridge, it's a Must Have!) and welding it (of course!) on my gypsy.  Since the ride in Disney is shooting targets, I decided to create the targets and introduce a new color to the mix, which I think really brought it all together.  Just when I thought I was done, I added stickles from the laser guns in the pictures to the targets I had made and that just took it over the top for me!  I hope you like it!!

Stop by again tomorrow for more Disney Layouts!
See you then...

Thanks a Latte! & Robot

Thank you to all of you that left comments!  So happy to know that some of you are still following!  Today I was able to do a big clean out of my kids rooms and my scraproom - at least I can see the tables now!!  That is a BIG deal for me!  So I wasn't able to start a layout yet (hoping tomorrow is the day!), but I wanted to keep the ball rolling with my posting, so I wanted to share a card I made and gave to my son's teacher.  It reads "Thanks 'A Latte'" and inside it says, "just wanted to 'espresso' my thanks".  In the front, there is a pocket that holds a starbucks card.  Take a look...

I did get to use a new cartridge today that I bought recently, but hadn't used yet, Robotz.  I bought it to use with my son and I thought it had a super cute font (haven't used it yet, but just wait!).  Tonight, I got to do just that, because he wanted to make a robot, so I linked it up to my gypsy and he picked out the one he wanted to make.  I set it up on the gypsy and then he cut it out and assembled it mostly by himself.  He started playing with it right away, so I laminated it so it could last longer.  I just love how cute it is - he named it "Robot 3000".  Here it is...

Thanks for stopping by, I have a layout to share tomorrow, so I hope you will be back to check it out!
