Twinkle Toes Layout

Hello everyone!  Back and ready to show you a super cute layout of my little dancer.  Funny enough, this layout started out because Frosted Designs had a really fun "recipe" challenge last week.  Unfortunately, in my busy schedule, I forgot the deadline and missed it.  But I was glad for the inspiration.  You needed to use at least 4 of these items:
1. The color yellow
2. Ribbon or lace
3. Chipboard
4. Flowers
5. Misting or inks
6. Buttons
7. Stickers
8. Rub ons

The yellow was really what kicked everything off, because I instantly  thought of my daughter's ballet outfit and I needed to scrap her first dance class, so it was perfect.  I went to Sassy Lil' Sketches for some more inspiration and I found a layout that worked for the right side of my layout.  The rest came together pretty easily.  I found this striped paper that I've had for a while, but it was bright and girly and just what I wanted to make the pictures and cutout pop.  I knew I was going to use the Twinkle Toes cartridge and I decided to use that phrase as part of the title.  I also wanted to include that it was her first dance class, so I went to my chipboard letter stash and found the perfect pink ones that complimented the layout well.  I hand wrote the "1st" and "class".  I added flowers and buttons and ribbon, too.  So I ended up using 5 of the supplies on the list.  I must say, it was a fun challenge incorporating all of these things!
Here's the layout and all of the details...

I had this little chipboard saying in my stash and it worked great next to my little dancer cutout.

But I have to show you guys the best part of the whole thing, my daughter was up at 2am scrapping with me!  Just like at her, you wouldn't think it was 2am, more like 2pm, but I guess, like mother, like daughter!

Tiny Dancer

Hello everyone!  I've got a super-duper cute layout to share today.  I have these fantastic pictures of my daughter in her first tutu (thanks to Marylin who put it on her as soon as she saw it!).  I had been waiting to do this page for a while now, but didn't quite have the inspiration.  About a week and half ago, Jean from Jean's Crafty Corner, a blog I follow regularly, had created a layout with the cute ballerina.  It reminded me that I had an unopened fantastic cartridge, Twinkle Toes, that would be perfect for this layout.  I matched my doll to my adorable daughter, with the dark hair, the outfit and I even used tulle to create the "tutu".  The title is from Once Upon a Princess and I love that it has little accents (like a little tutu and bows) on the title.  I love the way this turned out and it made the wall - my hubby already put it up and everything!  So here it is....

I also wanted to share an awesome resource with you all that I recently discovered - its Cricutsearch.com
Whenever you are looking for an image and you don't remember which cartridge has it, it will not only tell you the cartridge, it will even give you a screenshot of where in the handbook it can be found.  I've found it really useful and wanted to share the tip!

Tomorrow I have another great layout to share, that I'm putting the finishing touches on now.
Hope to see you back then!
Thanks for stopping by!
